Russian Police Cert

Are Russian police certs good for 6 or 12 months?

We're hoping for an interview in 8 weeks or less. She got her cert in January or February. Just want to make sure she doesn't get to Moscow and find it's no good anymore.

thanks!

3 months doesn't sound right. I've been looking on the website for days and can't find it. I remember it being either 6 or 12. At least, I'm pretty sure I remember that.

My fiancee went with one "within 6 months" of her interview and had no problems. I hope this helps.

Are Russian police certs good for 6 or 12 months?

For K1/K3 visa process in Moscow, Russian police certificate is valid for 12 months since issuing date (on certificate) no matter what says certificate about expiration. But cert should be valid not only to the interview date, but also to the POE date (arriving US after getting visa). [Victor from Russia]

The US consulate will accept it for one year, regardless of any date on the certificate itself
