Her - "Can I ask a favor"

Me - "sure honey"

Her - "promise you won't get mad?"

I guess she worried for two days before bringing up the extra money for a party for her younger siblings. We had already planned to send some money so gifts could be bought. Of course I had to pull that number out of a hat to I think part of it has to do with not fully understanding how much comes in and how much goes out. She sees all the numbers, but I don't think she really grasps where we're sitting economically. I think its just going to take time dealing with dollars and watching our budget until it is truly clear to her.
