Thank God for finding this forums. For two months I've been looking for answers and I think that I'm going to have some.

This is my current situation:

- April 11, 2007 my mother applied thru I-797 (I-130) for F2B (Unmarried child 21 older of PR)

- October 22, 2009 a case # has been received

- December, 2009, my mother moved to Brazil

Since that date, we didn't checked for the status of this petition.

If the embassy/NVC sent anything to my mother's address in the USA or for me here in Brazil, we didn't received because we moved.

So my question is, who should I contact to find out the status and if I need to take any action?

Should I call NVC?

My mother must go to the USA to ask for information?

Should I call the USA embassy here in Brazil?

Any help is much appreciated.

if yer certain it left USCIS,

and yer certain it's out of storage

and yer certain it's at NVC, then I suggest to call NVC.

if your Mom isn't a citizen, though, she's been out of the USA long enough for HER to lose her LPR status.

so yer visa journey might, indeed, be over.

Thank you for your reply.

Forgot to mention, she went to the USA from August ~ December/2011, so I think that there will be no problem for her to come back now to apply for her citizenship (as mentioned here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/368094-apply-for-future-wife-and-daughter/)

I'll do what you said, I'll call NVC tomorrow and update our address and ask what we should do.

Thank you!
