Hi everyone,

I am the USC and currently live in Spain with my Spanish husband. We are past the USCIS stage and are getting ready for the NVC stuff and checking out the shortcuts and such.

My question is about the DS-3032. Since we both live in Spain, is it even worth it for him to name me as his agent? Is there an added benefit of being an agent besides if you live in the States and will receive the mail quicker? If not, we will just send the DS-3032 email saying he elects no agent and to maintain contact with only him, which will arrive to our shared home.

Thanks for your help!

sure, you can elect for no agent, on the ds-3032 but

remember - if'n yer following lingche's shortcuts from the wiki - someone has to monitor the online payment portal.

if you drive it all right, the 'sending of documents' is tied to the payment of fees, or rather, noticing that the doc set fee is marked 'paid' - cause that's when you send in a doc set.

Good Luck !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
