Difference between G-325 and G-325A??

We're filing for AOS and a family friend who is an immigration lawyer helped my husband and I to start some of the AOS paperwork. She gave us form G-325 already filled out (for our I-130 app). I didn't notice until now that the I-130 requires the G-325A. I see no difference between the information contained on the two forms.

The only difference I can see whatsoever is the "a" in the title, and the form I got from the lawyer uses a smaller Arial font, while the form we got off the USCIS website uses a different font that makes it difficult to fit our typed information.

Do you think we can submit the G-325 we already did and be okay? Opinion on other threads seems to be it could produce an RFE?

Seems crazy!

I took a look at a number of other VJ threads on this topic also. While some other threads opine there may be a differnce while others opine there may not be a difference, attention to detail--as you have done--is important in this process. So to remove any doubt/concerns, I suggest submitting G-325A as specified in instructions. Following instructions is good form (pun intended :) ) -RK

What visa are you adjusting from? Why are you needing to file the I-130 too?

I would go with the form that is specifically asked for in the form instructions.
