Hello, I realize that the topic of 'Maiden name on passport w/ married name on green card' has be discussed several times. I have a conditional GC based on a K1 visa. Returning to the US, it seems to be of no issue as long as the marriage certificate is shown along with the greencard/passport.

I would like to know of specific instances of the immigration checks in India when returning back. Do they balk at seeing marriage certificate/greencard/passport when the names are different or are they pretty accustomed to the idea.

Please share your personal experience if possible.

I have not heard of it being an issue in any country. Carry a copy of your marriage certificate

I had my marriage certificate with me and i let the officer at poe know i have it but he said it won`t be necessary for him to see it and that was it. No issues at all.
