Traveling while still under temporary I-551 Stamp

Hi all, I just had a quick question regarding a final tidbit in the I-130 guide:

"Also, if your relative is your wife or husband and you have been married for less then 2 years at the time of his/her arrival at a port of entry, then he/she will receive a temporary I-551 Stamp and then later a Green Card by mail good for only 2 years. Ninety days before the green card expires you will have to file an I-751 form to remove it's conditional status."

I understand that this is to confirm the legitimacy of the marriage for couples who've been together for less than 2 years. While under this temporary residency, is it okay to leave the country on travel? If so, is there a limit to the length? (less than 3 months of course)

Yes, it is fine to travel less than 3 months. The 2 year green card works just like the 10 year card except for that extra removal of conditions part.

What CBP does now is place the standard admission stamp on the page next to the visa and write in some information in the fields. The visa with the admission stamp next to it is the temporary green card.

To answer your question, yes you can travel internationally.
