Documents to take to the Consulate?

I have heard that after arriving at the Consulate and before being interviewed, someone verifies that you have brought the required documents to the Consulate. I also heard that the original documents that you send to the NVC are given back to you after the initial verification but before the interview. If this is the case, what documents are the agents verifying before you get your originals back? Will I have to get another original document for all documents I sent in the NVC package?

I have the same question. NVC currently has most of my originals, so it would be quite a pain to get newly issued ones, especially if I have to bring them all.

Anybody know what exactly is required at the interview?

I read on one of the Rio Consulate reviews that the "documents" they verify are your passport, sealed medical exam envelope, and passport size photos if you haven't sent them with the IV packet. At least that is my understanding.

I just got my interview date, and the letter included a list of documents they want to see, basically all originals for copies sent to NVC, passport, 2 pictures, medical results and a copy of the DS230 part I and II.

I understand that those documents are required but EVERY review I read states that after arriving at the NVC, an officer verifies that you have the correct "documents", but you don't get the original documents that you sent to the NVC back until after this initial review. So my question was regarding the initial document review.

Perhaps I am not explaining this that well. I know that you get all of your documents back but my point is that they do a document check BEFORE you get your original documents back so my question is, what documents do they verify at THAT time? Before you get your original documents back.
