Hi everyone, i could use some advise. Please help.

Last February 2 of this year, my fiance sent out our K1 Visa Petition and received our NOA1 on February 13. Now, what happened is my fiance didn't read it after receiving it, thinking everything was okay and perfect. Today, I wanted to be sure that he's got everything ready, so he went back digging into our papers including NOA1 when he realized that he spelled my name wrong. It's has been over two months since our NOA1 and we just realized that my name was spelled wrong. My name is spelled JENNIE but my fiance wrote and spelled my name as "JENNY" on the the I-129F form. The rest of the papers in the K1 Petition packet is spelled correctly except the one on the I-129F.

Now, I wanna know if misspelling my name is something critical? What can I and my fiance do? Will that cause denial of petition? Will that cause delays? Or will it cause me problems such as having to prove to the embassy that I am that person being petitioned?

Please help! Anybody here who had the same experience?

If the name is wrong on the NOA1 simply call uscis and let them know as they should correct it in their system

I do not think that this is something crucial - just call them and let them know about it

Yeah, my name is spelled wrong on the NOA1. I believe that they followed the name (Jenny instead of Jennie) that was spelled wrong by my fiance on the I-129F form. The rest of our papers, including my G325A and my birth certificate is correctly spelled as Jennie.

The thing is, I spoke to an immigration lawyer in California and said that it's nothing critical and that we should just wait until NOA2. One of my friends who have had the same experience said we needed to sent a new I-129F. So, I'm honestly lost more than ever.

A non-issue, correct it on the DS-230 and make a note of it at the interview

Why would this cause a denial?

Good luck
