Concurrent case but still have to wait an additional 4-6 months?

It's understandable. It's also possible you will be approved prior to September (5 months from now so it's definitely possible). What is your local office?

I just checked on the USCIS website..It's the New York City Field Office.So is this where my interview will take place?Are there many field offices? My husband went to another location when he applied for his citizenship.EDIT : Never mind,we lived at a different location and it goes by zipcode.It was a headache going to the field office he was assigned to.Mine is a peace of cake to reach thank goodness. :dance:

Ohhhhh...you are in NY...see, that is good info to know. LoL...

You will likely be towards the long end of the wait...NY is quite backed up.

July 2005 - met my awesome, hot, amazing love in Lousiana.
July 2006 - Married said love and moved to Canada.
June 2011 - Entered US to visit family, decided to stay.
Feb. 2012 - Sent paperwork to Chicago.

May 2012 - Received green card.

NYC usually has longer average wait times from filing to interview than most other field offices due to the high volume of applications here - but for example, ours didn't take any longer than the national average of 4-5 months. We filed in March, and my interview was in July last year. Don't know what the situation in NYC is now though, but I would just try to sit back and relax - you can drive yourself crazy with this process. Nothing you can do to expedite it, so better just try to relax and keep yourself busy with other things in the meantime.

My husband 's citizenship application process also took the usual 4-6 months.He applied in March and by August,he was a citizen.Im not so much worried aout the length of time anymore,but rather about getting rfe's .Im really hoping all goes well.
