I received my Green Card last week , what do I do with the EAD card and the AP letter? they are still valid.

Do I send them back or keep for my records?

They aren't really valid--when you got the GC they were likely invalidated by USCIS. You don't need them obviously. Usually if people interview for adjustment of status and are approved, the officer will request that you surrender them right then. So, I would check with the local office to see what you should do.

Souvenirs. Lol. They mean nothing now. GC rules. Make sure you remove the conditions on your SS card. The restriction tied in with the EAD. Now that the EAD is invalid, you need to remove the restrictions by reapplying using your GC as change in status. Congrats.

Sometimes they do not request them. I still have mine. They were temporary cards and of no value after the GC has been issued. I don't think anyone would want to use it after receiving their permanent residency.

Sorry about that but I did not return to that question, thank you for your answer. The IO looked at the Card and the Letter but gave them back to me.

I know, it varies on whether they want to take them back or not. I wasn't thinking of a GC holder using them, but keeping them from being used fraudulently by others. Also, if you are working, consider asking your employer to let you fill out a new I-9 since you have a new status.
