Can you choose interview dates?

Today I mailed out the last of the docs that NVC requested. I expect to have a case complete soon. I can call after that and set up and interview date? I will be working out at sea for 6 weeks, so I am hoping that I can schedule it on my time off. I will be off for 5 weeks. Anyways, can I choose or they set and no agreeing on a convenient time for both ?

NVC schedules the date, regardless whether it's convenient for you or not. If you don't like the date, you can re-schedule with the consulate/embassy for a later date.
