If you are in PI and you run out of gas (like propane) for cooking and you have to walk about a third of a mile to refill the tank. Who should carry the tank?

the man or the woman. Does the answer change if the guy is in his 60's and she is in her 20's?

Are they married yet?

Of course, in the RP, I could always have that delivered for a few pesos after paying the Kano price for the cooking gas.

I'm old school for an american.

If the woman is a child of the man, then the child needs to honor their father and carry the tank.

But

If the woman is your wife, yes you should schlep the gas tank. That's what men do for their wives.

I just turned 50, my Mahal is in her 20s.

If I am fit enough for a mid 20s wife, I should be able to carry the propane tank, or smart enough to have a small cart on wheels. :)

However, in a practical sense, if the man is infirm, and the woman is healthy, then the woman needs to carry the tank.

Am I judging the man? You bet I am, but by the same yardstick I measure myself. devil.gif

would it be fair for the man to carry the tank to the refill station and the woman to carry it home?

depends., but probably no.., I don't know if you are kidding or dead serious when you said that but it makes me laugh, in Phils normally when it comes to heavy things.. the guy is supposed to be the one who carry it, but in your case, a gas tank .. that's hella heavy... i cant imagine my self.. carrying it.. haha and to the fact that im only 70lbs.. haha I'll be dead..after few minutes haha but to make it easy have it delivered to your house .. that normally what refilling station do. :) have a great day..

Have your wife order the propane to be delivered, no Kano pricing, no heavy labor. Same with the water containers, delivered to the door. I even stay home when she goes to the market so they don't try to slip in Kano pricing, of course if they tried that around her she would rip them a new one....

if you are in the PI and cooking with gas, you must be rich. Dumb question to ask who carries the tank since you must be able to afford the gar, you can afford the fee to transport it as well.

Most people cook with wood over a fire........

I just don't see how a "GAR" would help? Where's the trunk? How you drive one of them? How fast do they go?

Nothing a few pesos wouldn't fix -- have it transported to and from by a tricycle driver. Problem solved.
