After getting shafted on the wait times for our NOA2, and finally receiving it almost 6 months later, I thought we were going to be back on track and get to follow a nice, clean time line. As it turns out, that's not the case.... We got our NOA2 on March 16, and have been calling the NVC every day since to check on the status. Nothing, nothing, and more nothing. After our "15 days" were up, they asked us to scan it in and e-mail it to them. They e-mailed back saying they would call the USCIS on our behalf to research the case...

That was over a week ago. Called again this morning, and still no record of our case. When I asked how long it usually takes to hear back from NVC Research, she said, there is no time line.

UGH! I just wish that these guys would get their s*** together. I'm just so tired of having to put our life on hold becasue of a packet of paperwork.

Sorry... I just really needed to vent.

Thanks all.

Can not blame you at all. Some one needs to take action and put NVC/USCIS supervisor/management team to PRISON. I am sick and tired of calling them and getting different response each time. I called them last night regarding sending death certificate of my in law in order to withdraw his petition. One agents says to scan and email while other tells me to post mail only. As you stated, they need to get their act or #### together!

Thanks all.

NVC seems to be slowing down again. It happens every few months. It REALLY sucks!

Now the issue, even if you have your Case number and ready to go, they're having invoicing issues from the new reduced price of the IV fee. Last week NVCs computers were down, and they couldn't even look at case files.

I think the invoice/computer issues are tied together, and you poor souls were caught in the middle of it.

I have the exact same situation. My NOA2 is dated March 20, 2012 and I did exactly what you described and had the exact same response... I call USCIS and asked them what the hold-up was and they said depending on the processing center it could take anywhere from 1-90 days to send approval documents to the NVC... really? How difficult is it to just send documents from one US office to another? This just so frustrating!

We did e-mail our receipt to them. When we called a week later they still hadn't gotten it, and told me there was no timeline as to when. I called my Congressman that same morning, and today, I got an email that they had finally received it.
