How long to file for AOS?

In looking at the documentation that we need to supply when applying for AOS (mail with both our names, mail with his name at our address, etc.) it will take awhile for us to gather enough of this to be relevant. How long do we have to apply for AOS? We are married now, so that part is done, we just need to file but need to have all the documentation first.

Thanks much!

~Liza

I would file as soon as possible. The evidence will come while you are waiting for the interview.

We didnt have anything that had my husband's name on it when we filled.

Good luck.

Hi Lizaane,

You don't need to send evidence with your AOS application. Send it in asap, it takes a long time (depends, some local DOs are faster, some people get transfered to CSC for a greencard without any interview).

You can gather all that stuff for the interview, that is when they want to see the evidence!

Good luck,

Anna.

WOW! Ok then! Guess we will get that going this week!

Thanks!!!!

What in the world would we ever do without all of you???

Surely we would not be together now, that's for sure.
