I'm not sure how to address Section D-2 of the i-130 which says:

"Have you ever filed a petition for this or any other alien? If “Yes”, give name, place and date of filing and result"

To explain the situation, lets say a US Citizen was a joint-sponsor for a relative (also a US Citizen) who was filing for the relative's family members. A few years later, the US Citizen (joint sponsor) becomes married and files a i-130 petition for spouse.

Should the US Citizen fill in Section D-2 when filing for spouse?

Should joint sponsor history be included in i-864 as well?

Thanks

Agreeing to be a joint sponsor for an immigrant and subsequently submitting an I-864 on behalf of that immigrant is not the same thing as filing an I-130.

If you have never filed an I-130, the answer to the question "have you ever filed a petition" is no.
