Some of you know my situation but same may not.Let me recap ! I've lived in the US for almost 20 years. My US citizen husband lost his job in 2009 and has been doing freelance work since then.He was unemployed in 2010 .We went to an accountant to see how he could file taxes for last yr but the accountant said it would be difficult. He is self employed, and the night clubs he promotes for never issued him any form to file taxes nor did they ask for his social security number...Only one club has his social..He gets paid in checks...We sent the income tax returns for the last 3 yrs he did file taxes wich are the years 2009,2008,2007..Right now I have work authorization and temporary protected status,so I am legal...long story. We have a joint sponser who has a salary eay above the poverty line and worked for the same company for 20 yrs...so considering all of this,do I have a good chance of being granted a green card ? The Aos application was received my USCIS last friday. We sent the I 130 in january and submitted the Noa with the Aos so that it bcan become concurrent...When should I have my green card in hand if all goes well??

Green card in hand aprox 30 days after your interview ( if you are approved at interview ). Usually arrives in 2 weeks of issuance/production.

For now you have to wait for adjudication of your AOS petition. Could be some months.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Did he include a statement that he wasn't required to file taxes in 2010 because he didn't make enough money/was unemployed? If not, it's possible you might receive an RFE for that, but that would be easy to fix. Otherwise, it looks good!

Now that they have your I-485, expect about 4-6 months for the GC (assuming no RFEs), depending on where you live. :) Good luck!

Absolutely ! we wrote a letter stating he was unemployed. As a matter of fact,he was unemployed until the summer of last year, the same year he became a citizen. That is how we were able to get a fee waiver for his citizenship application.Omg ! i so cannot wait to have my greencard. After 20 years of living a very restricted life,I will finally be free to be the best that I can be.
