Some of us might take them up on the offer if possible.

Figure 15 times the cost. They aren't going to offer it. They don't need to. It is not like you are going to take your visa business elsewhere.

Yes they do. DHS has whole departments that monitor websites in general. Though not specifically VJ. VJ was checked out prior to the person I interviewed at USCIS granting permission to interview him. In most cases they are not "doing anything" but it was his concern that VJ is "not one of those sites that just tells people how to break the law" It is not. I think he mentions in the interview that VJ was checked out also. Incidentally VJs policy of not permitting content that suggests violating immigration law is STRICTLY enforced as far as I have seen, and it is a good thing.

It is frequently reported here that US consulates check people's Facebook pages and visas have been denied for things they found on people's facebook pages...such as photos of weddings for people applying for Fiancee visas.

Legacy members of VisaJourney (peeps around before you got here, Gary) were informed long ago that VisaJourney is read by the Service. And not just in some passing fancy "interview" kind of way.

Our journey together on this earth has come to an end.

I will see you one day again, my love.

It was a joke. Sounded like an advertisement for "someone" that might be reading it. NM.

As Krikit mentioned, here is one of the threads in the Canada forum where members discuss being greeted by their VJ user names at their interviews at the US Consulate in Montreal: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/227480-dear-montreal-consulate/ If you read the reviews mentioned in this thread you will find more specific information.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
