Can I work with temporary Green Card(CR1 visa endorsed by the border officer)

I am in US, reached two weeks back. Can i start working once i get the SSN? or do i need to wait for Green card to come in mail?

If you didn't check the box to get an automatic SSN, or you don't get it shortly, you should take your visa to the social security office and apply for one.

yes you can work, you can even start working before you get your SSN.

You just have to let HR know you have applied for SSN and most HR would give you few weeks to provide SSN when it comes and would let you start working.
