Has anyone e-mailed the Londom consulate before? How long did it take to receive a response? I e-mailed them on the 2nd and haven't heard back yet. Should I expect to soon?

For me, they didn't answer questions like did you get my P3? They only answered when it was something I needed changed on my case. But yeah, only 3 days for that.

In addition, remember today is a US federal holiday and the embassy may be recognizing it as such so you may not get anything today either.

It was general questions really, rather than anything related to my case number.

I wish there was a phone number with info. I've called the premium number which is really for non-immirant visas mostly, and have been on the phone for like 5 and a half minutes (at £1.20 a minute!) just for them to tell me they can't give detailed answers, only basic ones and that I should e-mail the consulate.

Oh well.

What are you trying to find out? Many people on here are quite knowledgable and the UK embassy site is quite good.

I waited a long time. I had emailed them to ask if they had set up an interview date. I think they waited to respond until they had an interview date. I waited over 2 weeks. If you're asking if there is an interview date, they will probably respond once they have the date to give you.

I emailed them many times, sometimes they replied within 3-5 days and the most i waited for an answer was 6 weeks....and that was only after i kept on and on at them with the same question...having said that, in general they are normally quite good at replying by email
