You marry.

You file AoS

Assume 90 day wait for EAD, you can then work.

It will be 3-6 months after coming to USA

If you get married right away and file right away you will get your Employment authorization card in about 3 months

If you get married around the 3 month mark and then file right away (1100 dollars almost)

Then you will get your Employment card in about 3 months

So it is about 3 months from the time you submit your Adjustment of Status paperwork, pay the 1100 dollar fee, get an interview, pass the interview without Administrative Processing

There are many steps you need to take before you are authorized to work in the USA

Good Luck and Congrats

May 24, 2011 NOA1

Sept 11, 2011 NOA2-took 19 days to get case number

Sept 30, 2011 NVC number and IIN received Friday-gotta wait till Monday

Oct 13, 2011 Case Completed- 13 days from receiving case number Took 32 days from NOA2

Nov 30, 2011 Notified of Interview date

January 19, 2012 Interview- 240 days from NOA1

INTERVIEW RESULTS-APPROVED WITH 14 WEEKS AP--but he got his visa in 56 days!!!!!!

PLEASE EDIT YOUR TIMELINE IN YOUR PROFILE SO OTHERS CAN LEARN HOW LONG EACH STEP TAKES IN THIS PROCESS
