Perhaps the real mistake is not being totally honest with all questions asked at your medical exam as this would cause denial or even a ban. Not to mention honesty is the right thing anyway.

Perhaps the real mistake is criminalizing marijuana, and the policies it leads to...such as visa denial.

Perhaps :P ,but I wouldn't give anyone the advice of concealing information though.

Neither would I. I would give them this advice:

Admission of drug use is cause for visa denial.

This is really awful. I'd have to agree about attending the interview and also preparing mentally for the possibility of moving there.

OP has April 24, 2012 for interview date but no approval or update since?? Hope it all turned out well.

Hello all!

I see my posting got alot of replies. Well I am currently past the medical exam phase and unto the interview phase. The psychiatrist just ask some basic questions that lasted 15 minutes but the wait took about 6 hours. She got her shots but needs to get another vaccine shot when she arrives in the USA. She had her interview which went well but she got a 221g. She need to correct her CENOMAR for herself and the one child and get a new NBI travel clearance. The name was spelled wrong between the CENOMAR and the birth certificate and the NBI clearance. They recieved the new CENOMAR's on Monday and next week she has to go back to pick up her new NBI clearance. They still have her passport. So far all is well with the visa.

Congrats! Happy for you that all went well with the exception of some minor setbacks. Seems like you have it all taken care of. I know you can't wait to get her here! (L)

congrats on the progress so far.... I know it has been tough. While waiting have her check her DS-3025 form. Make sure it is filled in. (this will save you trouble at AOS). Enjoy this time of relaxation. Once she gets here, you will be busy again for a while.
