so i got a notice to appear today in the mail and the appointment is scheduled for the April 9th.. i always read about biometrics walk-ins, so does that mean i can show up on any day before the 9th?

Some places do not allow early walk-ins, but you can try.

So what happens after this appointment anyway?

More waiting =( lol

Its a 5 min or 10 min appointment to grab your fingerprints and a picture and then they send it off for your background checks.

Yay a 4 hour drive for 15 mins ahaha.

4 hours! thats unlucky =( maybe you could sight-see while your in the new place for the appointment? make a day trip out of it so its not such a waste?

yeah we are planning on getting there the night before and stay the night..

one question, according to the USCIS website, my local office should have been Louisville, KY, turned out to be Charleston..

yeah we are planning on getting there the night before and stay the night..

one question, according to the USCIS website, my local office should have been Louisville, KY, turned out to be Charleston..

It could be that if you have an interview it would be at Louisville but that the biometrics ASC is only taken at Charleston but i'm not 100% sure on that.

I do know that not all offices do ASC and interviews some will do only one or the other or both.
