After looking at the map of the consulate, it looked a bit different than when I was there last week. I'm sure its not perfect, but I thought I remember signs pointing to the mens washrooms and womens washrooms being in different isles. That being said I never looked down the isle where I thought the mens room is, so it could be completely wrong. But the window numbers I remembered fairly well.

We went to 14A first, then sat and waited. People went to windows 1-4 next. Then I believe windows 7-9 for the interviews. I remember someone being called to window 18 and it looked like it might have been the last window closest to the wall. Anyway, here it is. Feel free to improve upon it after your visit.

This is awesome Saylin! job well done.....Now I have my mind set on that elevator, I have to come up with strategies! lol thanks again

Thanks! :) Just remember, sit close to the elevator on the bottom floor so you're the first one in. And go all the way to the back left, so you're the first one out ;) This is what I did and that's how I got C1 :)

Just refreshing my internal map I've created thanks to this post!

For those who have taken kids there, what is the kids area like? I know we can't bring in cell phones or games or food right? I'm worried about my kids being little turds when we're there!

Saylin I just now found your wonderful drawings!! How magically helpful. I've been Google Street viewing to see if I could figure out where I need to be, but the 'paint' job is much better!!

Thanks so much!!

Hi Saylin,

Thanks for the pictures. They really helped, especially the one that shows where to line up outside the embassy. I was at the embassy last July for my interview and was approved. :D When I arrived, there were only two people on the line at the correct side whereas about 15 - 20 lined up at the other side. You need to see the looks on the faces of those on the wrong side when the guards came out and told them to move to the right side. Things have changed again as they gave us numbers outside as we were called to come into the embassy. Also, we were called according to the appointment time, so going too early for one's appointment is of no advantage. In addition, the layout of the room upstairs has changed. The secretary table has been moved to the back of the room. Cubicle 1 & 2 are now for Immigration Visa and boot 7 - 9 for interview.

Thanks again.
