Yeah i have a a congressman and sentator helping .. ive had congressman since 5 or 6 month and just called in senator last month... its just name checks for us.. don't know if he got a name hit or not but his name isn't that common.. at least i didnt think...but we keep being told our case is fine and normal processing for name checks

I don't think the real purpose is Namechecks. Even if it was, it does not take that long.

Although I fear the AP myself as I am from Pakistan, my wife and I think the main purpose of months long AP is to test the patience and love between the married couple especially if there have been any red flags like previous marriages and kids or considerable age difference. They push us to limits to see if someome will give up? Unfortunately not even senator can make them move as they have this perfect excuse of mandatory AP for national security.

I really pray for you EAbbas and I do wish that your husband can be with you asap. God bless.

thank you for your kind words.. and while i agree to an extent pakistan puts many ppl on mandatory AP creating a long process for all those from pakistan.. depending of course which types of checks they do... some are simple others are in depth...

we could have a hit and we all know that when that happens it has to manually be looked into which is time consuming.

Yes i know the congressman/senator can't make AP finish but its making it aware that another gov office is also interested in this case and hopefully will keep it moving along instead of sitting doing nothing...
