Hi everybody:

Should the documents showing ties to the home country be translated for the interview at the Consulate? The interview is going to be conducted in Russian as my MIL does not speak any English so do the documents she takes to show her ties to Kazakhstan need to be translated?

Anybody gone thru this and knows?

Thanks.

Dave

What documents?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

What documents?

Proof of strong ties to home country like property statements, letter from employer, birth certificates of children and grandchildren, etc. The Kazakhstan Embassy website just mentions other documents, but does not state whether they need to be translated. So my ASSUMPTON is that they do not since in the K-1 process and others it specifically states documents in another lanuguage must be accompied by their official English language translation.

Just wanted to get other's opinions on this.

Thanks.

Dave
