Hi all,

first of all, it is much appreciated with any info you guys provide. I'm glad i found this site through a link as i have still have some questions even though i went through the forum for a few days reading post regarding CR-1.

ME : US citizen

Her: Taiwan citizen, currently on a 5 year B-1 visitor Visa , she came to visit me from 9/2011 ~ 2/2012(5 month). (now she is back in Taiwan)

We been in a relationship since 7/2011, i met her in Taiwan as i travel often to Taiwan for business trip

I am heading to Taiwan to marry her and plan to obtain the legal marriage certificate there in mid June(i believe i need a certification to file for CR-1). Because filing for CR-1 takes months, my idea was that since she has B-1 already, I plan to have her enter the US first (regardless how many month she can stay,6 months would be ideal), and once she enters US, i will immediately file for

CR-1. She will then leaves US prior to the end of her given date whether it is 1 month or 6 month. So meanwhile we can be together in the US. When she returns to Taiwan she will be waiting for her documents in Taiwan. Basically we can be together longer versus having her wait the whole time while i file the CR-1 in the US.

I guess my question is that is it ok for her to enter first then for me to file the CR-1 after she enters?

I've read alot regarding not being able to enter after I file CR-1 even though she has a B1 visa.

I just want to triple check to the people on the forum to see if this will this cause any problem in the future of any kind?

Best regards :)

Yes, she may enter before you file (but why don't you file as soon as possible before she enters...saves time right?) but she must return to Taiwan.

Now, entrance is never a guarentee.

Good luck

Yes that is absolutely fine, as long as she doesn;t overstay her tourist visa there won;t be any problems.
