Hello VJ family!

It's been 10 days since our case was approved. We called NVC but they still didn't have the file. Is this normal?

perfectly normal... it took almost 3 week for our case to arrive at NVC. are you talking to a human at NVC or using the automated line?? the automated line is no use for K-1's anyway

It takes about 30 days on average. Should be stated on your letter. Give them some time.

Yes, sometimes it takes a solid 2 weeks to be sent and input in the system. It could actually be at NVC right now but not processed into the system to reflect it has arrived. .

Yeah, we are talking to a human, she said call back in 15 days. But I will call them again next week on Friday.

I'm about to give NVC a call tomorrow, it will be my first call since our NOA2 was approved on the 2nd of this month. Too soon?

For the NVC:

Give them 7 - 10 days before calling. Call after 4:45 PM eastern time for shorter wait times

K1's are not tracked through the AVR, ever. They are processed like an immigrant visa, but they are NOT immigrant visas, so they fall into a completely different class of their own. Therefore you need an operator. To get there:
