Hello,

I have sent out my I-129F and I got a confirmation email and text from the USCIS that they got it. My Check was cashed by them. I did not get anything in the mail yet ( NOT SURE IF IM SUPPOSED TO SINCE I GOT THE EMAIL ??? )

My Fiancee Had to move because of her job and now I just need to know what I have to do to inform them of the change of her address and when the earliest I can/should do it?

AS ALWAYS THANKS VJ'ERS

BRYAN

I was just in the same situation as you so let me share with you how I handled it.

#1 - For your NOA 1, you need to find the WAC number, YOU MUST LOCATE THIS NUMBER (I hear that they print it on the back of your cancelled check), with this you can check the application status (and make sure that you are in the system) on their website.BTW - When did you file? It usually takes about a week to get the NOA 1 in the mail.

#2 - The new address, my fiancee moved one month after I submitted the K-1 application (she moved 3 blocks away), I waited until my application was approved (NOA 2) then called the NVC, spoke to an operator who confirmed that they had received my application package, THEN over the phone I updated the address of my fiancee. I also confirmed the email address of myself and my fiancee.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

I (beneficiary) was in the same situation. THe NVC told us not to do anything before the case had been approved at CSC and been sent to the NVC. As soon as I had my NVC case number I wrote an email to the embassy informing them of my number and the address change. Everything worked out smoothly. They sent the package to my new address :)

I actually was just in the same position as well, but was told to handle it differently.

I am currently awaiting an NOA2 for a I-129F and my fiance, the beneficiary, just moved from one apartment in London to another (I am the petitioning USC). When I called USCIS to ask how to handle the change, they said that I should write a letter to my service center (in this case it is the CSC) including my NOA1 receipt number, my full name and the beneficiary's full name. They said I should detail the change I want made, including the old address and the address we want to change to.

They also mentioned that when he is approved for an interview with his embassy he needs to bring supporting documents to the interview for the change.
