I checked VJ timeline it said October 6 is under process for 129f in CSC but I saw few people timeline they got approved and their NOA1 date is October 17. My date is DEC 13 ,2011 can anybody tell when I get my NOA2?

I have another question about NVC. I saw in some cases when NVC received petition from USCIS and forward to embassy in 7 to 10 days without genrating invoices but in some cases NVC takes more than 4 weeks why?

Look at the bottom of your own timeline page

It says May 2, 2012 till May 6th, 2012

NVC is a quick stop for fiance visas to get their number assigned before it does to the consulate.

NVC times vary greatly from Month to Month. Right now it is taking 2-3 weeks to get a case number but I have seen some assigned in 1 day and one assigned in 66 days.

You call NVC and ask everyday do I have a case number yet. And ask if your petition is under Administrative or Additional Processing.

But you should get a case number this week. Call everyday

He doesnt have NOA2 yet.. so no need to call NVC for case number until 30 days(or so) have passed after NVC received your file.

BTW OP: don't worry, It takes between 4-6 months to get NOA2. Evry case is different.

Wish you all the best.

Bull-frog! (or something like that  )

Give NVC about 7-10 days after receiving your NOA2 then call them once a day. I waited the full 10 days and they told me my packet had shipped to the embassy the day before. They are actually pretty quick about replying to emails also.

That's what I read on the travel.gov site. May be they don't want to be bothered? Anyway, it doesn't speed up your process calling them every day. I didn't know when my case was in and out of NVC (not like I didn't care, only that it didn't matter as long as they are doing their job, which they are). :P

P.S: It all went by pretty fast, I would say. I didn't have to call once to inquire. :)
