Transiting through Canada

My fiancée is planning to book her ticket soon. We've found a flight for a good price l, but it includes a 1.5 hour layover in Vancouver, Canada. It is through PAL. From what I've read on this page:

she shouldn't have any problems since she'll have her K-1 visa. I was just wondering if there was anyone else who had a layover in Canada and what your experiences were like? Was there any hassle with customs? We're just a little concerned because it's only a 1.5 hour layover and if there's any hassle at customs, she may miss her connecting flight.

1.5 hrs is not much time, barely enjoy to move from one plane to the other without rushing. As long as she stays in the terminal/gate area there should be no issues. She would only enter the customs area if she tried to leave that area.

I agree that 1.5 hrs is bearly enough. If her first flight is delayed that she may not have enough time to make her connection. What city is her final destination?

I think you need to make sure your stop in the US is a POE. I read somewhere that some ports in Canada can be used as US POE's. For example, I looked into a flight to Cleveland with a stop in Toronto (I think). Cleveland is not a POE, so the POE would have been Toronto. So if you have something like that, 1 1/2 hours probably won't be long enough.

I hope that is not too confusing, it was for me, so I didn't book that flight.

I have taken that PAL flight a few times. They keep you quaranteed in a small area with only a cr and vending machines. Only exits to airport is emergency exit. I never went thru customs or immigrations. This is usually to just re fuel the plane. I would say she would be fine
