I am getting ready to send in the K-1 visa packet and want to make sure that everything is accepted the first time. The current form has an expiration date of the end of this month. I don't know if I'll have everything ready by tomorrow. Will the new form be much different? Thank you for your help.

Thank you. I'm going to change the topic of this post as I realize I need to get a birth certificate. Apparently, that's not possible...so my other question at this point is- what vaccinations are mandatory and/or highly suggested for the medical. Thanks again everyone.

Good news-

You will be provided instructions regarding medical examinations from the U.S. Embassy or Consulate where you will apply for your visa, including information on authorized panel physicians.

K visa applicants are encouraged to get the vaccinations required under U.S. immigration law for immigrant visa applicants. Although such vaccinations are not required for K visa issuance as the K visa's are not considered "immigrant" visas for whatever reason. They will be required when adjusting status to that of legal permanent resident following your marriage. So when you go to get AOS you may have to get extras vaccinations.

The actual list of vaccinations given to the fiance(e) is rather long, and US government agencies publish these lists, however, depending on your age and previous history, you may only need a few of them, perhaps none at all. When you go for your medical exam, the doctor there can help you determine what vaccinations (if any) you will require. You can opt to have them there, (at additional cost) or you can get them at a later date from your own doctor or clinic. You will have to have them by the time your adjustment of status is complete so you can even get them in the US if that is more convenient for you.

Here is the list:

Hepatitis A

Hepatitis B

Influenza

Influenza type b (Hib)

Measles

Meningococcal

Mumps

Pneumococcal

Pertussis

Polio

Rotavirus

Rubella

Tetanus and diphtheria toxoids

Varicella

Only a physician can determine which of the listed vaccinations are medically appropriate for you, given your age, medical history and current medical condition.
