Incorrect DOB on Green Card

Hello to all my VJ friends,

As always I need your help to answer to this question which would help a good friend of mine.

My friend's wife entered the US with a K3 visa a couple days ago. Today, they went to the Social Security office to apply for SSN and they found out that the DOB on the visa was inaccurate. The question is what can be done to have this fixed? Do they have to act now before she is issued a conditional green card? Please help them on where to start and how this problem could be resolved? Thank you all

Here is the situation now. My friend's wife received her green card last week. The DOB is still wrong on the green card. They called USCIS about the situation and they were told to fill out form I-90 to replace the green card and send the original(incorrect green card) along with the form I-90. The USCIS agent also added, that there maybe a fee involved if the USCIS approves that it wasn't their mistake. Inaddition to the filling fee, there maybe a finger print fee as well.

Has anyone have experienced this kind of problem? Any insight, guidance and help will be very much appreciated. Please share your thoughts. Thanks

My friend's wife entered the US with a K3 visa a couple days ago.

Your friend's wife would have entered on a CR-1 (or IR-1 if married for 2 or more years) visa. A K3 visa requires adjustment of status to be applied for (and approved) prior to the issuance of a green card. Since a green card was sent in the mail to your friend's wife, your friend's wife would have entered on the visa type I just mentioned.
