My husband has his visa interview on 2/27 at 8am in Casablanca, Morocco. After 3 hours he finally called me and when I asked if everything was ok, he said the CO told him his Visa was ok, but he did not give my husband any tickets or even take his passpor. He simply told him that he will get a call in a week or two and then he can come in to get his Visa. Im confused, I thought that they would give him something, or atleast take the passport to add the visa in it. I dont know what to think. My husband keeps re-assuring me that the CO told him his Visa was approved, but with nothing in hand and no date of when he is supposed to get this "visa" I dont know what to think. Has anyone had this happen to them? I cant be happy when I dont know what is going on... :help:

I think it would be wise to call DOS-Department of State in Washington and ask them the status of his case.

you will need names and birthdays and case number

202-663-1225

Hit 1 then hit 0 to speak to someone

I think it would be nice if you had a timeline

HI Pree... was your husband given a sheet that confirms his approval? I don't know how it works where you are... but in Jordan my husband was given a letter of approval... but the letter also states that his visa processing could take longer than the 2 weeks they give you... then I was told his case was put into "Internal AP" which is Administrative Process...which are some sort of additional checks within his country. I am still waiting...that was 3 months ago...but the sites say it can take up to 5 months. So they may just be running some extra checks on him within his country and then will call him to take his passport to have it stamped. Some people I have spoken with say they took their passport when they were called and got it stamped that day. Give it the couple weeks... and if he don't hear something... call the DOS... and ask the status of his case.

DOS - 202-662-1225 - Press 1 then 0 for a specialist

They will ask for his case number and look you up and tell you. Or you can call them now and tell them your situation... it will be on file.

Good luck!! zDhd.png

You are welcome!

And yes make sure they say internal administrative processing or MANDATORY AP

I believe when they say mandatory AP it is name checks and background checks with FBI

and internal AP means can be background checks and relationship checks and paperwork checks
