Hey VJers! Quick question.

Just called NVC and they received our package from USCIS yesterday and gave me the case number. Said the file is undergoing additional processing before being sent to Manila. Is this the normal procedure or is this the dreaded "AP" I have read about on several posts.

September 2, 2011: Mailed I-129F

September 19, 2011: NOA1

September 21, 2011: Touched

February 13, 2012: NOA2!

February 23, 2012: NVC Receive

February 27, 2012: NVC Sent

It is normal that they pull so many fiance petitions for extra review.

It will usually keep your file at nvc 1 day or a few weeks longer.

It is normal but I believe it is AP.

Do not worry it will pass quickly.

Sept 11, 2011 NOA2-took 19 days to get case number

Sept 30, 2011 NVC number and IIN received Friday-gotta wait till Monday

Oct 13, 2011 Case Completed- 13 days from receiving case number Took 32 days from NOA2

Nov 30, 2011 Notified of Interview date

January 19, 2012 Interview- 240 days from NOA1

INTERVIEW RESULTS-APPROVED WITH 14 WEEKS AP--but he got his visa in 56 days!!!!!!

PLEASE EDIT YOUR TIMELINE IN YOUR PROFILE SO OTHERS CAN LEARN HOW LONG EACH STEP TAKES IN THIS PROCESS

Not AP at all......its just processing into their system and out their doors onto the embassy.

Married: 6/17/11

I-130 Sent: 7/9/11

NOA1 : 7/14/11

I-129F Sent: 7/21/11

NOA1: 7/21/11

NOA2: 8/22/11

NVC Received: 8/24/11

NVC Left: 8/26/11

Consulate Received: 9/5/11

Packet 4 Received: 10/4/11

Medical Done: 11/7/11

Interview: 11/23/11

Approved: 11/23/11

Changed to CR1: 12/16/11

Medical Re-Done: 1/5/12

Waiting for Issuance of Visa.........

AP for nvc is not as bad as you think , I remember back in our days it took them like two weeks tops to process APs

We were at NVC for 7 and a half weeks, in 2008/2009. Keep an eye on it. Call them back in a week to 10 days and ask about progress.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Thats normal... Since you got your case number, have your fiancé's schedule her medical. Goodluck!

01-30-2012: Submitted AOS application thru USPS (Chicago Lockbox)
02-06-2012: Received Text/Email, application received by USCIS
02-10-2012: Received mail/hard copy of I-131 (NOA)
02-15-2012: Received mails/hard copies of I-765 & I-485 (NOAs) / Mail for Biometrics Appt.
03-06-2012: Biometrics Appointment done
03-14-2012: Received mail for Interview Appt on 16th April 2012.
04-04-2012: EAD/AP approved
04-12-2012: EAD/AP card received ;-)
04-16-2012: Interview day - Approved! (waiting for GC)
04-23-2012: Welcome Letter touched
05-03-2012: GC on hand!
