Hello,

I used to post occasionally on here. I had been in a long distance relationship with my boyfriend-and then I was able to move down via work, so fiance visa was not necessary. We are getting married tomorrow (yay!!) We are doing our "paper" wedding and then our "real" wedding in a year.

Any Canadians here do the adjustment of status from L1?

I am aware of the guides, but was hoping for some support from folks from home that went through this particular process.

Congrats!

I think the process should be straightforward. A friend of mine met his now-wife while she was on a student visa in the states and they got married and just did a spousal visa while she was still in school. It's not the same as going from a work visa to spousal, but I would think that as long as you continue your job you should be fine living there while your spousal processes.
