Hello! i would like to share my horrible experience of AOS. I sent my document package to Chicago in October 2011. Had my biometrics (code 2) one month after that. And then i heard nothing from USCIS. I didn't get my NOA for I 485. So i decided to call the customer service in January. They told me that NOA for I485 was undeliverable as addressed in November 2011, because my address was wrong, but i never moved and when i called them to change it, they said that everything was right. I kept calling them and asking about my case, because i didn't get my EAD or NOA for 485. They kept saying that i had to wait, raised service reguests. Finally i got my biometrics appointment for i485 in February. I went to get it done.

When 90 since my biometrics for EAD passed i gave them a call again and said that my case was out of processing frame. They raised a service request (AGAIN!!!) :bonk:. Next day i got an e-mail saying that my i765 application was on Initial Review stage!!! Seriously?! after 90 days! so i called them again today (100 days, no EAD). The guy told me that my application was being reviewed and told me that they don't issue interim EAD anymore and then placed a service request for an Interim EAD! and said i had to wait for 35 days. i already have huge problems because i'm unemployed. My husband and i have so many fights over my unemployment. but he never wanted to make an infopass. i need a job very bad. i feel terrible that my husband has to pay all of the bills.

So finally today we made an infopass appointment and we were told that the case was closed, because USCIS couldn't contact us! OMG! i called them more than 10 times, i got biometrics and 4 responses on my SR. and they just closed it! i am so frustrated and mad! idk why they need this customer service if they DO NOTHING!!!

You just scared the living daylights out of me. This right here, with the exception of the dates, is exactly what happened with my I-130. Sent it in Aug 22, got NOA1 email Aug 24 received hard copy Aug 26/11, and then they started trying to tell us stuff was undeliverable. We got ALL of the documents they sent up to that point, we'd called and they were zero help, and now the congressman is getting nowhere. We are now at almost 6 months processing time at CSC, and we don't even show that we're at "initial review" on their website.:unsure::wow::(

Well undeliverable notices from USCIS are really popular now. We had same thing because the mailman decided to return it due to our lastnames. We registered on the website for SMS and email notification so as soon as the notice was returned, we called in to ask for another copy, after 1 month keep calling, they finally emailed a "courtesy" copy for it. You haven't received notices for more than 3 months, and you didn't check your case online to take action, so USCIS assumes you moved without updating it (undeliverable mail means you are not exist at the address.) You need a lawyer to file a motion to reopen. DIY is not for you at this stage.

i checked my status online thousands of times, every day. there were no updates. I called them and placed 4 SRs. Signed up for SMS and e-mail updates. got 3 e-mails from USCIS in last 2 months. the IO said that it was a mistake that the case was closed, but we don't know if it's possible to re-open it

In my opinion, you should try to contact a lawyer now, this situation is out of control already. Do It Yourself is not a wise option to solve these mess. Good luck.
