I wonder when they stopped using the red stamps? Mine is from 2013. I'll be curious as to how your case goes, AMZJ.

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

I would think that an ABSOLUTE divorce decree would be signed by a coroner, not a judge. Just sayin'

In England, decree nisi is no evidence or proof that a marriage is/has been dissolved and that either party is free to remarry. It does not end the marriage and is a provisional decree only. A decree

Thomas70 clearly has not been divorced in the UK. I have. None of the documents - decree nisi, decree absolute, or otherwise - carry a judge's signature. The decree absolute has a red court seal.

They stopped using the red stamp in 2014. I am worried I'm pretty sure we will RFE for my divorce decree. :( But I heard some people called and went though the wording and others highlighted the wording and mailed it in.

There are on a few who get RFEs for it and many hundreds who didn't. This thread is from 2012. It has happened only occasionally year after year. There is no new epidemic. Two more recent people reporting got them from NVC and NVC won't be looking at your documents. Do you enjoy worrying so much you have to go find something that hasn't even happened to you?

Not really, I'm a worrier by nature. It's not a huge worry but it does make me worry a little and if it did happen I know it's not something that I can't fix and that it'd only delay us by 3-6 weeks so I'm not stressed about it just mildly worried. It has reassured me some that you've said it only happens occasionally. I just noticed a lot of these threads popping up recently.

Someone said I'd just got lucky!! I think I just got someone who knew what they were looking at.

I'm not sure if it's luck, more that the workers with more experience know and if a new worker looks at it they might be unsure and send an RFE for it. Sure it's a slight worry but there is absolutely nothing that can't be fixed if it did go to RFE. Just something I am aware if I RFE it'd be one of two things. It'll either be for TOS or for Divorce decree. But then again it could all be fine. I'm sure I'll know by the beginning of march.
