It depends on the consulate tha you are applying to. For Colombia you have to pay the fees first BEFORE you can schedule the interview. They either have to be paid online or at Helm bank. So check the procedures by going to the website of the US embassy of your particular country. Procedures change so you have to look up the info on the embassy website and/or check with someone who has recently (within a month or so) gone through the process. That's my 2 cnets worth.

sorry but that is incorrect. you have to pay first or else your passport number (which is your receipt number) will be invalid.

I received my NOA2 last August only...my fiancee (now my hubby) called for my interview date which was set last Oct 10th 2011 without paying first the visa. I pay my visa at BPI when I went to Manila for my medical and a week after was my interview date.

Hi guys i just wanna ask something, can I( beneficiary)) apply for my own interview schedule? Or should the Petitioner do it himself?

Thanks

The K-1 visa is YOUR task, your Fiance can do it to help you out but its not necessary for the Petitioner to do it. The Manila embassy is not going to schedule your interview. Have you paid the fee at BPI? If not need to pay that then you can go online and schedule your interview.

Here is the check list for the embassy in MANILA.

Likely the consulate will schedule this after they receive approved paperwork.

NOT!

You can schedule it yourself and you don't have to pay the VISA fee first in order to schedule. Just have your MNL number and answer all of the required information about you and your petitioner. Now you will have to get your medical done at Saint Lukes at least one week before the the interview and will have to pay the VISA fee also before the interview and bring proof of payment with you. Good luck.

Good luck with that plan.... die of old age before you will get an interview date.

The last sentence in the first paragraph will enlighten you.
