Best Method to obtain copy of Birth Certificate USA

I lost my birth certificate. I found this link to obtain a copy from Indiana... Is there a better method?

Vitachek is used in quite a few states. In at least one state that I've tried to order documents it's not possible to walk in and get one, at any price. The options are generally snail mail or through Vitalchek. The 2 states that I've used push you to Vitalchek from their own websites. They charge a fee per transaction, so I usually order several of whichever form, so I don't have to multiple transactions in case I ever need the form again.

So for speed and convenience I believe you have the "best" method. If you don't mind the process taking longer you can look into snail mail directly with the state and you could save a few bucks.

I went to the county (where I was born) office to get copies of mine, since I still live there. I was in and out in 15 minutes or so. It was like $15 for one copy, and $20 total for two, so I got two. The county level is normally where they maintain vital records (births, marriages, deaths). Divorce records are also at the county level, although probably through the court clerk's office.

I just ordered three certified birth certificates from the Utah state dept, of health online. I paid by credit card, should be mailed to me in a couple of weeks.
