I hope to get my RFE today - it would be ineresting and I believe helpful to others in the future if those of us who are willing, would post on this thread what thier RFE was for.

The issue is that everyone gets RFEs for completely different reasons - all depends on what you may have forgotten to include or sign. Everyone's RFE will be for something different but the common reasons or issues that arise are in the thread above.

My RFE asked me to submit pretty much all the evidence I had submitted before. They asked for more evidence and also sent me the IMBRA questions. Okay, so here’s what my RFE says they want. They want 3 things.

1) Meeting in person: The petitioner and the beneficiary must have met in person within the 2 year period prior to the filing of this petition. Please submit photographs of the petitioner and the beneficiary together.

2) Last meeting: The petitioner and the beneficiary must have met in person between June 2004 and June 2006 (I filed in June 2006). Submit evidence of meeting the beneficiary in person within the 2 year period preceding the filing of the petition.

3) Circumstance of the meeting: Submit information regarding the circumstances under which the petitioner and beneficiary met to establish the relationship.

It has taken me a while to gather all the evidence because I had to go develop several of my pictures once again for them. Anyway, I guess it depends what your RFE is about, they all vary.

Alex+R got an RFE for the beneficiary's birth certificate and its translation.
