Well, we have been blessed and lucky, but not so lucky in the amount of time the application is taking. Sometimes you want to cry when you see an application breeze through in 2 months. Not the norm I know, but just the same.

We were very lucky in the fact that we were able to get a year long tourist visa for her to visit when we only applied for a single entry. She came to stay with me for most of the summer and fall after she graduated. We decided that she would go back to Russia around the beginning of December based on my not so conservative estimate that we would have our noa2 in early to mid December. Then come back after the first of the year and get married. HA.

So after finding out where our app stood, I went out to visit for new years. I get back and I was so excited to get a text saying our status has been updated. RFE SO SAD. After waiting what seemed like a lifetime I found out that the items I sent in for proof of meeting over the last two years didn't have the year on it. Boarding passes, only month and day, pictures could not be accepted as the date was hand written on the back and a copy of a letter with a canceled stamp didn't cut it. I can understand now, still frustrating though. I sent the paperwork back the next day with hotel receipts, entry and exit stamps for us both, and her airline receipts and mine WITH the year on them and was given notice that Jan 19th they received it. 12 days and no update.

So here is the question. Her tourist visa expires the end of February. The best case I can see at this point is an interview around 2+ months from now... still needs to go to NVC, and then to embassy. I would like her to come out, but when they send the packet to her house, is there anything she has to fill out and return asap? or can is be scanned and sent to us in an email and we send it out DHL to Moscow so she can stay with me until her interview at which time I would fly her back a week or so before the interview and return as soon as she gets her K1? Would her coming to the US 4 times in the span of a year affect anything?

I would very much like to see her as we are also blessed with our first child due in September! Its going to be an amazing year!

How long was she here the first time?
