Hello All,

Thanks to everyone to help us make it thus far.

We are aplying for K1 adjustment of status form I-485.

Part 1 asks for A#(if any) ....is this the A2011xxxxx number on the K1 visa under my name(petitioner)..Also see this number on I-797

Also, I-864 afidavit of support part 2 line 6 also asks for Alien registration # (if any)

Last question..where would we find the Non imigrant visa # asked for on part 3 of I-485? Someone told us its the red F092xxxx on k1 visa

Thanks in advance!!!!

The A# is your alien registration number, and yes, it starts with an A and can be found on the NOA2(I-797) approval notice from the I-129F petition. It is above the beneficiary's name.

The visa number is indeed the one in red on your K-1 visa.

Thanks for the quick response!!

Was wondering how long does it take to recieve a green card?

Can Gina work or drive before it arrives?

Thanks!

It takes about 4-6 months now I think. File for the EAD and AP at the same time you send in the I-485. She should be able to get her drivers license with her SSN and EAD card. The EAD card will also allow her to work while she is waiting for her green card. It takes about 3 months to get it. Check out the AOS guide here: http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1k3aos
