HI VJ! MY PROBLEM IS THAT I SENT ALL ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS TO MY FIANCE THROUGH USPS AND THEY NEVER GOT TO HIM. HIS INTERVIEW IS NEXT WEEK IN CIUDAD JUAREZ. THE AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT WAS THERE AND ALL SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS, IM STILL TRYING TO SEND HIM ANOTHER SET THROUGH UPS. JUST IN CASE THEY WONT GET THERE BY THE TIME HE HAS HIS INTERVIEW I WAS THINKING ON SENDING HIM SCANNED COPIES OF THE AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT. THE PROBLEM IS I KNOW THEY PREFER ORIGINAL COPIES OF DOCUMENTS THAT HAVE SIGNATURES ON THEM, BUT I CAN'T TAKE THEM TO HIM PERSONALLY. I JUST DON'T WANT HIM TO SHOW UP WITHOUT THEM TO HIS INTERVIEW. WOULD THIS BE OK? THANKS IN ADVANCE

As far as I understand, yes they prefer signed originals of all documents where possible. I would continue to go down the UPS / FedEx / CityLink / DHL next day worldwide services. There is no conceivable reason why you wont be able to get documents to him within 24 / 48 hours.

Also, please, STOP TYPING IN ALL CAPS - it means you're shouting!

Good luck!

Honestly I don't think they will accept scanned copies...Have you sent Express UPS? You should get in touch with the Embassy and see what they say or try to postpone the interview day!

Good Luck.

I went to a pubic notary (notary public?) with my originals, and had him stamp and certify all my copies. Seems to have worked so far, and only cost a few $$$

sounds like a good idea. thanks ill be looking into that!

So I sent all the original documents again through UPS this time. They're expected to get to Juarez on February 1st and my fiance has his interview the 2nd of February. I was thinking just in case they don't get there on time, I still sent the scanned copies of everything. Also I sent the two receipts for them to see I sent them twice (1 through USPS and the 2nd one through UPS). I hope this helps and they see we tried! What do you guys think?!

WOW, this definitely confirms that I will be going with him to the interview. I can't imagine how stressful this must be for you so close to the interview and not having the documents in his hand. Good luck to you.
