As far as showing your bank information, what is a suitable amount of money. you have to show that you wont have problems with.

You only have to show bank information if you do not qualify on your income alone and you want to use your savings.

I read on the USCIS website the bank information should include the current balance. So my question is what is the threshold of not qualifying to sponsor someone with your income and with your savings

Inky is correct, if the person has enough income (comfortably over the 125% poverty guideline for their household size as shown here: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=73c63591ec04d010VgnVCM10000048f3d6a1RCRD&vgnextchannel=db029c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD ) then the bank balance is irrelevant. If you are counting assets, then it's x3 for a spouse or x5 for anyone else.

One note..you dont need to do the i-864 for a K1. You do the i-134 only. Once yoru married in the states and filing for AOS then you do the i-864.

While you don't have to show your bank balance or savings, if you feel like it would make your case stronger it can't hurt! They are looking to see that your fiance is financially stable and can afford to support you once you arrive.

The amount is obviously subjective, so I'd only show your bank statements if they will help your case. If they have like $1000 saved, I wouldn't bother. If you have $10,000+ saved, then go for it.
