Dear VJ members, I have a question regarding a small detail regarding bona fides of our marriage. My husband and I have submitted our packet with all the ORIGINALS instead of copies of the evidence of our marriage (but copies of everything else). We were advised to submit originals instead of copies (long story). Do you think we should be concerned about originals being requested at our interview since we do not have them on us since we already submitted them? Thank you for any help!

Your originals will be with the officer at your interview. I would bring copies of everything you have, and ask for the originals back at the interview (have copies ready to swap out).

Thank you Harpa Timsah! Stupid question but....When the packet is submitted, it goes to the national branch, the interview is at a local office. How does the officer at the interview at the local offica get hold of the originals and our packet when it was submitted somewhere else? Do they send all our packet to the local office?

Yep, they'll send the whole AOS package to your local office.
