Hi everyone,

I have a few questions in regards to my I-130 petition. I sent it out last week and it was picked up and signed on the 12th of January in Chicago. I have not heard or seen anything since that time. I filled out a G-1145 form along with my petition. Does the NOA1 come from Chicago? or does it come from the Service center that receives the petition?

Also, going a little bit into the future, once the case goes to the NVC, the part about sending original/cetified copies. In my wife's country (Ukraine) they do not have "certified" copies as they are called here in the U.S. Over there, the equivalent is a notarized copy of the said documents (birth,marriage). Will the NVC know this? or will there be a problem?
