I just got off the phone with USCIS, the representative was very helpful. She said that all she can see on my case is that it is still pending. She checked to see if they needed further evidence but couldn't find any record of an RFE being sent out. So she sent a request for status update on my behalf and also a request for biometrics. She also took my new address.

So it seems like my case probably got forgotten about at the bottom of a pile somewhere and just hasn't been looked at in 7 months *sigh*. I just hope this process doesn't take the full year because my baby is due right around then.

Don't worry, you are not alone in this one. Many of us, especially starting last June/July, are experiencing close-to-none progress what-so-ever.

Just hang in tight and also, if you are still married, file N-400 for citizenship 3 months before your 1-year ROC extension expires, thus force USCIS to speed up your ROC application.

Well maybe you calling will help bring it to someone's attention, and that is piece of mind that they updated your address again at least. I know these situations don't really fill any of us with much confidence, but all you can really do is keep on them I guess?

Yes, I'm hoping that by both calling and changing my address online and over the phone it will force someone to go and look at my application.. soo, hopefully things move much faster from this point onward.

Filed: IR-1/CR-1 Visa Country: Guyana
Timeline

this is the evidence we submitted with the application:

online and over the phone they have no record of my receipt number, I am starting to freak out!

Copyof the passport and green card of {my name}

Apartial copy of our 2009 and 2010 joint US tax returns.

Copiesof two car insurance cards.

Copyof the title of our car, showing joint ownership.

Copyof a voided check showing a joint bank account.

Copyof our dental insurance cards showing a joint policy.

Acopy of our airline reservations for a vacation that we took in July,2009.

The receipt# on the AOS is not the "real" one. it is the one on your biometrics notice that work. But since you haven't had that as yet, well you can't track your timeline. There are a few more things you should submit. Don't wait for a RFE, if any. Look at the first post, and submit things like two photos, a copy of both of your Driver License that shows you live at the same address,Lease or home ownership information, bills, etc.On your envelope, write "Attention I751". Also, include your A# on all of your documentation.

Did you call and ask to speak to a Level two Officer? The Level one agent really just provides "mis-information" I feel that they see the same thing you can see on the USCIS website, nothing more. Make sure that you tell the Level two officer that you never receive a biometrics notice. You may need to give him your A# for further checks.
