Hi everyone and thanks so much for taking the time to read and reply to my question.

My fiance and I are just starting our VJ and I am getting ready to send him everything he needs to post (from me) with the I-129F.

I have 2 questions:

1) I am sending my fiance: form: 325A, Statement of intent to marry and a passport photo. Is there anything else I need to send him for the initial I-129F form?

2) When sending the "Statement of intent to marry" where do I attention it to? In the example in the guide it says to put the "(USCIS service center address)", how do I know which which service centre to address the letter? (if it has any bearing on where to address this letter, we will be residing in Minnesota)

If you have any tips or advice, I would love to hear it, I did not know what to expect before visiting VJ and now looking at everything we need I am a little overwhelmed.

We became a couple : 2011-05-29
I visited him : 2011-10-28 - 2011-11-17

1. No, that's it for now UNLESS you were previously married you would also need to provide a copy of the divorce or death certificate. If you were never married and never changed your name then you are good to go for what YOU need to provide at this point

2. "To Whom It May Concern" will work just fine.

Read the guides and forums all the way through, prepare carefully, check and double check, put it away for a couple days and check it again, THEN send it. Then begin studyiung and preparing for the next step. You will do this for about 4 years until you become a citizen and it is always just kind of "there", part of your life. USCIS, learn to love them!

1. unless you have any evidence of having met in person like your passport stamp or boarding passes, or you have been married previously then that is all you need to send.

2. putting an address makes it look more professional but i really dont think that they care to be honest. if you want to put an address then put the same address as where you mail it to.

read and re-read the guides on here, ask as many questions as you want, check and double check everything, and you will soon realise it really isnt that hard.

good luck

I have another question.

With the letter of intent at the top where you put "(petitioner’s / beneficiary’s address)" do I put both of our address or just mine?

Here is what I think it should look like, could you please tell me what to change *note names and addresses changed*

Check out the example in "Example Forms" at the top. You will fill one out and your fiance will fill one out. As for the address, I put the Dallas Lockbox since that is where all I-129F documents are sent.

You wrote the letter of intent correctly. Now have your fiance write one, too. I am sending my fiancee' in Peru her copy by email and she will print, sign and she will snail mail the copy back to me. This is what will take the longest before I can submit the I-129F - which I will have finished by this coming week.

Remember to also have the foreign fiance/fiancee fill out/sign G325A and provide 3 passport photos. One for the I-129F, one as a back-up copy in case of an RFE and one for the 2nd copy which you will include in the packet you will send back to the foreign fiance/fiancee for the interview.

Just read this site as much as you can, including the example forms and guides.

Good Luck!

make sure the NAMES of both appear on any attachment. If it gets separated you want it to get nack together with YOUR petition and for now you have no case number.

ALL of my attached sheets for anything had (My name) Petitioner, (Fiancees name) Beneficiary across the top as if it were a "header"
