Moved from IR-1/CR-1 Process & Procedures to Canada regional forum as OP's question is specifically about the Consulate in Montreal.

sorry posted this in wrong place.

i talked to nvc this morning and was told that montreal schedules interviews teh 2nd week of each month for the following month. sadly, mine wasn't scheduled for feb so my cases sit around until 2nd week of feb and i hope i get a march interview date even though everything is already is done. of course, the lady couldn't tell me either roughly how many montreal does a month nor where i sit in the line of finished cases waiting an interview date. heaven forbid there by any transparency in this process for those of us waiting for way too long.

so my question stands: is there anyone with jan or feb interview dates in montreal for a IR1 visa? i'm curious as to when your cases finished at the nvc to try and get an estimate of how long out they are scheduling interviews for. from digging around through timelines it seems it's about 2 mos.

any help is appreciated.

I noticed that someone posted last night that they were able to book an appointment for CR1 in Montreal the day before yesterday. Their appointment date was February 28th, I believe. Sorry, I don't remember which forum it was on or who it was.

I'm waiting to be able to book my appointment any day now for my K1. Would appreciate knowing the same.

The NVC tells everybody that they only schedule interviews during the second week of each month for the following month; however, that is not correct, they schedule interviews all month long.

Anyone recently (past 2-3 weeks) been assigned an interview in Montreal for an IR-1?

Our papers just finished at NVC and am curious as to other's wait at this point for an interview at Montreal.

Thanks.

My interview was in December but they do in fact schedule the first and second week of the month for the following month. I missed the cut off for October and had to wait for November and found out on the 4th that my interview was scheduled for Dec.8. They are pretty quick to schedule the interviews once your case is complete. If you missed January's scheduling you will most likely receive your appointment within the first 2 weeks of February for an interview scheduled in March. Hope this helps.
